HONG KONG GIVEAWAY OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
1. Contest period
The Mott 32 Toronto x Hong Kong Tourism Board Hong Kong Giveaway (the “Contest”) begins on Sept 23, 2026 at 12pm Eastern Time (“ET”) and ends on Oct 2, 2026 at 12pm ET (the “Contest Period”).
Entries received before or after the Contest Period will not be eligible.
2. Eligibility
The Contest is open to legal residents of Ontario, Canada, who are 19 years of age or older at the time of entry.
Employees, officers, directors, representatives, agents and immediate family or household members of Mott 32 Toronto, Hong Kong Tourism Board, and their respective affiliates, agencies, prize suppliers and any other parties involved in the administration of the Contest are not eligible to enter.
“Immediate family” includes a spouse, parent, sibling and child, whether or not they reside with the employee.
3. How to enter
During the Contest Period:
- Follow @mott32tor on Instagram.
- Follow @discoverhongkong on Instagram.
- Follow @behindtheaction on Instagram.
- Comment on the official Contest post answering the question: “What would you most want to experience in Hong Kong?”
No purchase is required.
Limit one (1) entry per person/Instagram account during the Contest Period.
Entries submitted through bots, scripts, automated services, multiple or fraudulent accounts, or other automated means are void.
Entrants must have a valid Instagram account and comply with Instagram's terms of use.
4. Prize
There is one (1) prize available to be won, for one (1) winner.
The prize consists of a trip from Toronto, Ontario to Hong Kong for the winner only, including:
- Round-trip economy airfare between Toronto Pearson International Airport and Hong Kong International Airport.
- Three (3) nights' hotel accommodation in Deluxe City view room in Hong Kong at Kerry Hotel.
- Central & Sheung Wan Foodie Tour
- Dinner for one (1) at Mott 32 Hong Kong.
Approximate retail value of the prize: CAD $7,270
Mott 32 Toronto is the digital host of the social contest.
Hong Kong Tourism Board is the sponsor of Round-trip economy airfare between Toronto Pearson International Airport and Hong Kong International Airport, three nights' hotel accommodation in Deluxe City view room in Hong Kong at Kerry Hotel, and Central & Sheung Wan Foodie Tour; whilst Mott 32 Hong Kong is a prize supplier.
The following are not included unless expressly stated above: transportation to and from Toronto Pearson International Airport, ground transportation in Hong Kong, additional meals and beverages, gratuities, travel insurance, medical insurance, passport or visa costs, personal expenses, baggage fees, taxes, fees and any other expenses associated with accepting or using the prize.
The winner is solely responsible for possessing valid passports and any other documentation required to enter Hong Kong and return to Canada.
Travel must be completed from October 5, 2026 to September 29, 2027 and is subject to availability, booking requirements and any applicable blackout dates.
If the winner is unable to travel during the permitted period or is unable to satisfy the applicable travel requirements, the prize may be forfeited and another potential winner may be selected.
The prize is non-transferable, cannot be sold and has no cash value. No cash alternative will be provided.
The sponsors and prize suppliers reserve the right to substitute any portion of the prize with a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize or any component becomes unavailable for reasons beyond their control. Once reservations are made, they cannot be changed. Other restrictions may apply. Trip must be booked at least six (6) weeks in advance of departure date.
Cathay Pacific flight T&Cs:
- Blackout dates: December 19, 2026 to January 2, 2027 and March 13-19, 2027.
Kerry Hotel Room Booking T&Cs:
- This offer is subject to space availability (black-out dates apply). Prior reservations are required.
- Credit card information will be required at check-in for any hotel amenities and in-room consumption; a deposit might be required for any incidentals.
- Black-out Dates: 1 Oct, 24 - 26 Dec, 31 Dec 2026, 1 Jan, 6 - 9 Feb, 26 - 29 Mar, 8 - 9 May, 19 - 20 Jun, 1 Jul, 15 - 16 Sept 2027.
Mott 32 Hong Kong T&Cs:
- Prize includes a curated 'Mott 32 experience' menu to the approximate value of CAD$270(HK$1,500)
- Any items ordered from the a la carte menu are to be settled by the guest.
- The offer is non-refundable, non-transferable, non-exchangeable for cash and non-combinable with other discounts or promotions.
- Tables are subject to availability. A minimum 48-hour advance reservation is required.
- Hong Kong Tourism Board will connect the winner with the reservations@mott32.com and mention the redemption in email.
- Reservations are not available for Friday and Saturday dinners and Mott 32 Hong Kong has the right to decline a booking, i.e. if there’s a buy-out event.
- Mott 32 Hong Kong will require the winner to show the confirmation email upon arrival.
- In case of any dispute, Mott 32 Hong Kong reserves the right of final decision.
5. Winner selection
On or about October 5, 2026, one potential winner will be selected by random draw from all eligible entries received during the Contest Period.
The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
The potential winner will be contacted via direct message from @mott32tor to collect an email address for Hong Kong Tourism Board for prize redemption.
The sponsors and prize suppliers will not request payment, banking information or credit card information from a potential winner in order to claim the prize.
The potential winner must respond within forty-eight (48) hours of the first notification unless otherwise stated by the Sponsors.
If the potential winner:
- cannot be contacted;
- does not respond within the required period;
- does not meet the eligibility requirements;
- does not correctly answer the skill-testing question;
- declines the prize; or
- otherwise fails to comply with these Official Rules,
The potential winner will be disqualified and the Sponsors may randomly select another eligible entrant.
6. Skill-testing question
Before being declared the winner, the selected entrant must correctly answer, without assistance, a mathematical skill-testing question administered by the Sponsors.
Failure to correctly answer the skill-testing question will result in disqualification and another potential winner may be selected.
7. Winner confirmation
Before being confirmed as the winner, the selected entrant may be required to complete and return a declaration and release confirming:
- eligibility;
- compliance with these Official Rules;
- acceptance of the prize as awarded; and
- release of the Sponsors and other Contest parties from liability relating to participation in the Contest or acceptance and use of the prize.
8. Entry content
Entrants are responsible for the content of their comments.
Entries must not contain material that is unlawful, defamatory, discriminatory, threatening, obscene or otherwise inappropriate, or that infringes the intellectual property, privacy or other rights of any third party.
The sponsors and prize suppliers reserve the right to disqualify any entry they determine, in their reasonable discretion, violates these requirements.
9. Publicity
Except where prohibited by law, by accepting the prize the winner agrees that the sponsors and prize suppliers may use the winner's name, city of residence, photograph, likeness and statements relating to the Contest for the purpose of announcing and promoting the Contest and its winner, without additional compensation.
Any additional commercial use of the winner's image or likeness outside Contest-related publicity will be subject to any additional permissions required by applicable law.
10. Privacy
Personal information collected in connection with the Contest will be used to administer the Contest, verify eligibility, contact the selected entrant and award the prize.
Personal information will otherwise be handled in accordance with the applicable privacy policies of the Sponsors and applicable Canadian privacy laws.
Entering the Contest does not, by itself, constitute consent to receive unrelated marketing communications.
11. Indemnity
By participating in this Contest, you agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless the Sponsor and Prize Provider and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates and/or related companies and licensees and each of their officers, directors, shareholders, employees, advisors, assignees, agents, licensees, representatives, advertising, media buyers and promotional agencies (the “Released Parties”) from any and all damages, injuries, claims, suits, actions, causes of action, costs, expenses, liabilities or losses of any kind (including but not limited to lawyers’ fees) arising out of or relating to your participation in the Contest; your receipt or use of any prize; your violation of any term of these Contest rules or your violation of any third party right, including without limitation any copyright, property, or privacy right.
12. General conditions
The sponsors and prize suppliers reserve the right, subject to applicable law, to cancel, suspend, modify or terminate the Contest if fraud, technical failures, unauthorized intervention, human error or another event beyond their reasonable control affects the proper administration, security, fairness or integrity of the Contest.
The sponsors and prize suppliers reserve the right to disqualify any individual who tampers with or attempts to manipulate the entry process or operation of the Contest, violates these Official Rules, or acts in a disruptive or fraudulent manner.
The sponsors and prize suppliers are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, misdirected or technically corrupted entries; internet or network failures; Instagram outages; device or software malfunctions; or other technical problems beyond their reasonable control.
The sponsors and prize suppliers' decisions regarding the administration of the Contest and selection of the winner are final, subject to applicable law.
13. Travel and release of liability
Travel involves risks and may be affected by circumstances outside the sponsors and prize suppliers' control, including flight cancellations or delays, weather, government restrictions, border requirements and other events.
The winner is responsible for determining their ability to travel and meeting all applicable health, immigration, passport and entry requirements.
To the extent permitted by law, the Sponsors, Instagram, Meta Platforms, Inc., prize suppliers and their respective affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents and representatives will not be responsible for loss, damage or injury arising from participation in the Contest or acceptance, possession, travel associated with or use of the prize, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
14. Instagram disclaimer
This Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc.
By entering, each entrant releases Instagram and Meta Platforms, Inc. from any responsibility or liability arising from or relating to the Contest, to the extent permitted by law.
Any information provided by entrants in connection with the Contest is being provided to the Sponsors and not to Instagram.
15. Governing law
The Contest is subject to applicable federal and provincial laws and regulations.
These Official Rules and any dispute arising in connection with the Contest will be governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
